Descripción:Vasicinolone is a flavonoid that is found in the dry extract of the root of Carica papaya. It has been shown to have anticholinesterase activity, which may be due to its inhibition of the enzyme acetylcholine esterase. Vasicinolone also inhibits fatty acid synthesis, with a functional group that contains a glycoside derivative. The structure of vasicinolone was determined by mass spectrometry and electrospray ionization quadrupole nuclear magnetic resonance (ESI-QNMR) analysis. The molecular formula for vasicinolone is C28H32O4 with a molecular weight of 412.5 daltons and an empirical formula of C22H30O6. Vasicinolone also has silver ions in its chemical structure, which are responsible for its antimicrobial properties.
