PF-5190457 is a human liver-specific inhibitor of the enzyme indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO), an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of tryptophan to N-formylkynurenine. PF-5190457 has been shown in clinical studies to be safe and effective for the treatment of inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.
