Descripción:2-Bromo-N-methoxy-N-methylacetamide (2BMAM) is a functional compound that can be used for the synthesis of a variety of molecules, including enamines, amides and carbinols. 2BMAM functions as an electrophilic reagent in organic chemistry. It is a hydrogen transfer agent and can be used to synthesize salicylaldehyde from benzaldehyde by reducing the carbonyl group to an alcohol with hydrogen. 2BMAM is also useful in the synthesis of amides and carbinols, which are two important classes of compounds that are found in many biologically active molecules.
