Descripción:FEN1-IN-3 is a research tool that can be used to study the interactions between ion channels and ligands, as well as protein interactions. It is a peptide inhibitor of FEN1, which is an enzyme that catalyzes the removal of RNA primers from DNA during replication. FEN1-IN-3 is also a ligand for the receptor CD36, which is expressed on many types of cells and mediates the uptake of oxidized low density lipoprotein (LDL).FEN1-IN-3 has been shown to inhibit both high and low affinity binding sites for LDL on cell membranes, including binding to platelets.
