It is an inhibitor of voltage-gated potassium channels, calcium channels, and sodium channels. N,N'-Bis[4-[2-(N-methylcarbamoyl)-4-pyridyloxy]phenyl]urea can also bind to other proteins such as receptors and ligands. This compound has been shown to be a potent activator of the Ligand Activated Receptor (LAR). It can also inhibit antibody production through its effects on cell biology.
