The mechanism of action of PF 06250112 is not yet known, but it is thought to inhibit the transfer of phosphatidylserine from the inner to outer leaflet of the plasma membrane in kidney cells and cause adverse effects on erythematosus. This drug has also been implicated in inhibiting the pathogenesis of this disease by decreasing levels of inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α).
