Descripción:AZD5423 is a fatty acid that has inhibitory properties on the cells in the colon. It has been shown to have clinical relevance for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. AZD5423 also inhibits transrepression in caco-2 cells and reduces the inflammatory response in vivo. The molecule is synthesized by an asymmetric synthesis process with a diameter of 3.7 nm and potent inhibition against particle size of 2.5 nm. Clinical studies are underway to determine the efficacy of this drug in treating inflammatory diseases, including psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis.
