It binds to the receptor subtype for glutamate, which is responsible for pain transmission, and inhibits the production of proinflammatory cytokines. Cyclopropylthiazole has been shown to be effective in the treatment of cancer, as well as other diseases such as choroidal neovascularization and metabolic disorders. This drug can be present in two geometric isomers due to its chiral nature: cis- and trans-. The cis-isomer is more potent than the trans-isomer.
