4-Acetyl-4-phenylpiperidine Hydrochloride is a hydroxypropylamine derivative that has been used as an intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals. It can be administered orally and has been shown to inhibit the production of carotenoids, hydroxyl group, and metabolic disorders. 4-Acetyl-4-phenylpiperidine Hydrochloride also inhibits the activity of enzymes such as carbonyl group and cancer. The compound has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. This drug also shows antihistamine effects by blocking histamine receptors in the central nervous system.
