Descripción

Nodosin is an indole alkaloid that is used industrially in the preparation of terpene. It is extracted from plants such as Isodon, Inula and Nardostachys jatamansi. Nodosin has been shown to be a potent estrogen receptor modulator, which may be due to its structural similarity to quinoline derivatives. Its anticancer activity has been studied in cell lines such as HCT 116 colon cancer cells. The anticancer properties of nodosin are thought to be due to its ability to inhibit cancer growth by preventing the proliferation of cancer cells.
