Información del producto
8-Hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde is a compound that belongs to the naphthofuran, nitro, oxazine, cyclise, and indoline classes of organic compounds. It is synthesized from 1-naphthol and formaldehyde in nonpolar solvents. The conformational change that occurs during the cyclization reaction results in the formation of an indoline ring. 8-Hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde can be oxidized to form 8-hydroxyindole. This product has been shown to be dehydrated to form 8-hydroxynaphthalene. 8-Hydroxyindole can also be reduced to form 8-hydroxyindolecarboxylic acid.
