Glabrone is a drug that is used to treat skin cancer and has anti-oxidant effects. It works by inhibiting the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and making cells more resistant to oxidative stress. Glabrone also has been shown to inhibit the polymerase chain reaction of DNA, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the activity of DNA polymerase. In addition, this drug inhibits water vapor from binding with the sodium citrate in a reaction that produces hydrogen peroxide, an oxidizing agent. Glabrone also has been shown to possess anti-diabetic properties by inhibiting insulin resistance in liver cells.
