Información del producto
3,4-Diethoxybenzonitrile is an organic compound that has been used as a reagent in the synthesis of other chemical compounds. It is a colorless liquid that reacts with potassium to form 3,4-diethoxybenzophenone and potassium hydroxide. Reaction with eugenol forms the ether 3,4-diethoxyphenyl acetone and methanesulfonic acid. Reaction with propylene forms the linear molecule 3,4-diethoxybenzaldehyde. The methanesulfonic acid derivative of this molecule is known as veratrol.
The target compounds for this reaction are methyl ethers and methanesulfonic acid derivatives of isoeugenol.
