Información del producto
6-Hydroxytropinone is a plant toxin that is found in plants from the tropane family. It has been shown to activate G-protein coupled receptors and ion channels, which are important for the regulation of neuronal activity. 6-Hydroxytropinone also has an inhibitory effect on acetylcholinesterase, an enzyme involved in the breakdown of acetylcholine. The activation energy of the reaction is between 44 and 48 kcal/mol, depending on the solvent used. The synthesis of 6-hydroxytropinone can be achieved through two different pathways: one involves a multistep sequence of reactions and the other requires only one step. The two pathways have different yields, with the one-step synthesis yielding more product than the multistep pathway.
