N-(4-Formylphenyl)carbazole is an aromatic compound with optical and fluorescence properties. It is a dialkyl derivative of carbazole, which is a fluorescent organic compound. N-(4-Formylphenyl)carbazole has been shown to be expressed in the rat retina and the human prostate gland. This compound has been studied for its photoconductive properties. A section of the molecule was made to show that the fluorescence is unilateral and that the quantum yield is 0.0214%. The elemental analysis shows that it contains carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus and sulfur.
