Descripción:Aldesleukin is a recombinant form of human interferon-α2b and is used to treat renal cell cancer, cardiac, and other cancers. It has been shown to be effective against a variety of hematological malignancies. Aldesleukin has also been shown to have antitumor effects in animal studies. The drug inhibits the growth of tumor cells by binding to the IL-2 receptor on the tumor cell surface and causing an immune response, which then leads to tumor destruction. Aldesleukin may also be used for the treatment of infectious diseases with bacterial or viral origins.
