Descripción:MCI 225 is a drug that belongs to the class of tricyclic antidepressants. It has been shown to be an effective treatment for depression and other psychiatric disorders. MCI 225 inhibits the uptake of serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine into the synaptic cleft by blocking the 5-HT3 receptor. This is thought to lead to increased levels of serotonin in the brain. MCI 225 also has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used in inflammatory bowel disease as well as bowel disease. MCI 225 may also have therapeutic effects on heart diseases or cancer due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Clinical use of this drug is limited due to its low potency, but it has been found to be better tolerated than other tricyclic antidepressants with similar activity.
