It has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells and to prevent hair loss in mice by blocking the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). 5-(Pyrrolidin-1-yl)pyridine-2-carbonitrile is used for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of EGFR transforms. The compound can also be used in multimedia to measure the connectivity between cells and monitor their growth, as well as being rechargeable and chiral. This drug has been tested on animals with devices.
