HCH6-1 inhibits the production of interleukin-8 and other proinflammatory cytokines by neutrophils, which are important for chemotaxis. This compound has been shown to inhibit the activation of neutrophils in a concentration-dependent manner. HCH6-1 has also been shown to be effective in reducing inflammation in animal models of inflammatory diseases such as colitis.
