• Descripción: MEN 11270 is a cyclic peptide that has been shown to bind to the bradykinin B2 receptor. The binding of MEN 11270 to this receptor inhibits the activity of bradykinin, which is a potent vasodilator and stimulator of fluid secretion. The molecular modeling study revealed that MEN 11270 interacts with the receptor in a similar way as acetylcholine, thereby inhibiting its activity. In experimental conditions, MEN 11270 was found to have an inhibitory effect on bladder contractions and increased bladder capacity in rats by binding to the b2 receptor. These effects were observed at concentrations ranging from 10-7 M to 10-4 M.
