Descripción:EC 1167 is a diagnostic agent that can be used to identify prostate cancer cells. It is a conjugate of an antibody fragment and a toxic metal, which binds to the prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA). EC 1167 has been shown to be successful in the detection of PSMA in human serum samples, as well as in cell cultures of prostate cancer cells. The physicochemical properties of EC 1167 are quantified by measuring its fluorescence intensity and lifetime. It has been found that EC 1167 binds specifically to PSMA with high affinity and low non-specific binding.
