Topfluor pi(3,4,5)P3 is a cell permeable fluorescent probe that can be used to measure the activity of protein interactions in living cells. This inhibitor binds to peptides and disrupts their function. It has been shown to inhibit the function of Ligand-gated ion channels such as nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. Topfluor pi(3,4,5)P3 has also been shown to activate Protein kinase C (PKC), which regulates various processes including cell proliferation and differentiation.
