Descripción:NVP-BVU972 is a small molecule inhibitor of the tyrosine kinase activity of the epidermal growth factor receptor. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. NVP-BVU972 binds to the ATP binding site of the kinase domain and inhibits protein synthesis by preventing phosphorylation of downstream substrates. This drug also has a pharmacokinetic profile that is not affected by renal or hepatic dysfunction. NVP-BVU972 is currently being evaluated as a predictive biomarker for cancer treatment response.
