Descripción:Insulin is a hormone that is produced by beta cells in the pancreas and regulates blood sugar levels. Insulin works by lowering the level of glucose (sugar) in the blood, thereby regulating its supply to various parts of the body. Insulin is also used to treat type 1 diabetes, gestational diabetes, and other conditions where low insulin production results in high blood sugar levels.
