Descripción

Acetyl-pepstatin is an antibiotic that is a natural substance derived from the fermentation of molds. It has been shown to be active against Microorganisms, including viruses and fungi. Acetyl-pepstatin is also effective in the treatment of parasitic infections and can be used as an antiparasitic or antimicrobial agent. Acetyl-pepstatin is used in chemotherapy, which refers to the use of chemical substances to treat disease. It has been shown to have anticancer activity in vitro and may be able to inhibit tumor growth by inhibiting DNA synthesis and RNA transcription. Acetyl-pepstatin has also been shown to be active against some strains of bacteria, including Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Salmonella typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and Mycobacterium avium complex.
