Descripción:
1-Ethyl-1-(4-methylphenyl)hydrazine is an indole derivative that can be used for the synthesis of arylhydrazones. This compound is synthesized by cyclization of 1-ethyl-1-(4-methylphenyl)acetic acid with hydrazine. This reaction gives a mixture of two products, 1-ethyl-1-(4-methylphenyl)-2HN3 and 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline. The yield of this reaction is about 60%.
