Descripción:1-Bromo-2-chloro-4-fluoro-5-nitrobenzene is an herbicidal agent that inhibits the growth of plants by interfering with photosynthesis. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of phenylalanine ammonia lyase in plants, which is an enzyme involved in the production of phenylpropanoids. This interference leads to a decrease in the production of plant hormones such as auxins and gibberellins, which are responsible for cell elongation and seed development. 1-Bromo-2-chloro-4-fluoro-5 nitrobenzene also inhibits sulfuric acid and sulfuric acid esterases that are responsible for the metabolism of these acids, respectively. This inhibition causes a buildup of these substances in plants, leading to their death.
