Descripción:ZD-1611 is a monoclonal antibody that targets endothelin-a receptor and has been shown to be effective in treating solid tumours. It blocks the binding of endothelin-a to its receptors, thereby inhibiting the growth factor signalling pathway. ZD-1611 also has an effect on the b-raf and atherosclerotic cardiovascular systems, which may be due to its ability to inhibit growth factors such as IGF-I. The anti-cancer properties of ZD-1611 are mediated through various mechanisms including complementarity with cancer cells, inhibition of cancer cell proliferation, and induction of apoptosis.
