Descripción:3-(Methoxymethyl)pyrrolidine is an anti-viral drug that can inhibit the replication of DNA and RNA. It is a nucleoside analog that has been shown to inhibit hepatitis B virus (HBV) in vitro. 3-(Methoxymethyl)pyrrolidine has been shown to be active against HBV and other viruses, such as influenza A, herpes simplex virus type 1, varicella zoster virus, and polio virus. This drug also inhibits the growth of tumor cells in culture. 3-(Methoxymethyl)pyrrolidine binds to viral RNA polymerase, preventing it from transcribing DNA into RNA. 3-(Methoxymethyl)pyrrolidine can also bind to the enzyme RNAse H, which is involved in the process of protein synthesis by breaking down messenger RNA molecules into smaller fragments.
