N,N'-Bis(9,9-dimethyl-9H-fluoren-2-yl)-N,N'-diphenylbenzidine is a molecule that is used in the production of phtalocyanine. The optical properties of this molecule are dependent on the environment and can vary from spectral color to colorless. This molecule has an ionization potential of 5.5 eV and an efficiency of 10%. It can be used in solar cells as an acceptor or as a nanowire for transport. A model system for N,N'-bis(9,9-dimethyl-9H-fluoren-2-yl)-N,N'-diphenylbenzidine has been developed that includes tetrahydrofuran (THF) as a solvent to simulate the conditions in devices. This system was analyzed with shift experiments and diameter measurements.
