DPP-4 is an enzyme that inactivates the incretin hormone glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). DBPR108 is a small molecule inhibitor of DPP-4. This drug has a long half life and is orally active, with a high level of protein binding. It is also chemically stable, even at high temperatures or pH levels, which means it can be used as an inhibitor drug in the treatment of other diseases.
