2-Acetamido-2-deoxy-a-D-thiogalactopyranose is a sugar that belongs to the group of carbohydrates. It is synthesized in two steps by the Click modification of 3,4,6-trichloroacetamido-2,3,5,6-tetradeoxygalactopyranose and 2-(pivaloyloxymethyl)benzaldehyde followed by fluorination and glycosylation.
