KHS-101 is a depolymerizing agent that has been shown to inhibit the polymerization of microtubules, which is necessary for neuronal function. KHS-101 has been shown to be effective in treating spinal cord injury and other neurodegenerative diseases. KHS-101 interacts with tubulin monomers and prevents the formation of polymeric microtubules. This drug also induces apoptosis in neural cells, which may be due to its ability to interact with integrin receptors on the cell surface.
