5-O-Carbomethoxy-1,2-O-isopropylidene-3-O-p-toluenesulfonyl-a-D-xylofuranose is a synthetic chemical that is used in antiperspirant and deodorant products. It works by inhibiting the activity of the eccrine glands and causing a temporary blockage of sweat release.
