The sugar molecule is either glucose or galactose and the fatty acid is usually a long chain fatty acid. Cerebrosides are found in the brain and spinal cord and their function is not yet fully understood. Phrenosin (Cerebrosides-Phrenosin) is a high purity, custom synthesis, sugar-based glycoconjugate with Click modification, fluorination, glycosylation, synthetic, methylation, modification, oligosaccharide, monosaccharide and saccharide as its main components. It has been shown to have strong anti-inflammatory activities in animal models.
