• Descripción: Caffeic acid 3-O-b-D-glucuronide (3BGA) is a phenolic compound that is found in plants. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of viruses, including influenza virus, and chlorogenic acid isomers have been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria. The highest concentration of 3BGA was found in the heartwood of the plant. Recent pharmacokinetic studies have shown that caffeic acid 3-O-b-D-glucuronide is metabolized by gut bacteria and excreted in human urine.
