Información del producto
3-Ethynylindole is a dimeric, regiospecific, electrocyclic, and aldol-type hyrtinadine that is synthesized by the palladium-catalyzed coupling of allenes with chloroformates. The natural product 3-ethynylindole was isolated from the fungus Penicillium citrinum. It has been shown to be cytotoxic in various cell lines and to inhibit the growth of bacteria. It has also been shown to be an inhibitor of biomolecular synthesis in cells after oxidative formation of azides or amides. 3-Ethynylindole inhibits the production of ATP by binding to the enzyme pyruvate kinase and interrupting glycolysis.
