Información del producto
- Phenylalanine, 4-[Bis(2-Chloroethyl)Amino]-, Methyl Ester
Melphalan methyl ester hydrochloride is a matrine derivative that has anticancer activity and is used in the treatment of cancer. It is an anticancer drug that inhibits DNA synthesis, leading to cell death by interfering with the production of proteins vital for cell division. Melphalan methyl ester hydrochloride has been shown to be active against both solid tumors and leukemias. Selenium, an essential element, is required for the synthesis of this drug. The antitumor effect of melphalan methyl ester hydrochloride is due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis and DNA replication by binding to the enzyme topoisomerase II.
