5-Deoxy-1,2-O-isopropylidene-5-[(2S-phenylpyrrolidine)-1-yl]-a-D-xylofuranose is a monosaccharide that was synthesized by the fluorination of D-xylose in the presence of a catalytic amount of boron trifluoride.
