It binds to antibodies and prevents their binding to antigens on the transplanted organ, thus preventing antibody response. Fostriecin sodium salt has been shown to be effective in reducing the incidence of autoimmune disease, cancer, and graft-versus-host disease. The effective dose for this drug is 5mg/kg/day. Fostriecin sodium salt may be administered orally or intravenously. This immunosuppressant does not alter the regulatory immune system or suppress the body's natural immunity.
