1,1-Dimethyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-isoindole is an inhibitor of the protein tyrosine kinase. It has been shown to be effective in treating inflammatory diseases and autoimmune diseases by inhibiting the production of inflammatory compounds such as TNF-α and IL-1β. 1,1-Dimethyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-isoindole also inhibits the production of aliphatic hydrocarbon products that are associated with cancer. This compound also has a variety of other uses including treatment for Alzheimer's disease and dyslipidemia.
