Descripción:Bromodomain-containing protein 1 (BRCA1) is a transcriptional regulator that contains two bromodomains. BRCA1 is a tumor suppressor protein that has been shown to play a role in the transcriptional regulation of inflammatory genes and genes involved in DNA repair. It also plays a role in radiation response, HIV infection, and cancer progression. BRCA1 is acetylated by histone acetyltransferase p300 and hypoxia-inducible factor-2α (HIF-2α) at the N terminal lysine residues.
