• Descripción: 1-Hydroxymidazolam-b-D-glucuronide (1HMG) is a metabolite of diazepam. It has been shown to be a potent inducer of CYP3A4, which is an enzyme responsible for the metabolism of many drugs. 1HMG has also been shown to increase the elimination rate of diazepam and reduce its half-life. The detection limit for 1HMG in blood is about 0.1 µg/L and it can be detected in serum up to 20 days after administration. It has been used as a biomarker for diazepam exposure in children and adults with depression or other mental illnesses. This drug also has depressant effects on the CNS and may be used as medicines for this purpose.
