Descripción:Vatalanib succinate is a small molecule drug that inhibits the activity of the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR). Vatalanib succinate binds to the VEGFR and prevents it from binding to its ligands, such as stem cell factor. It has been shown to inhibit metastatic colorectal cancer in animal models. Vatalanib succinate also has biological effects on other cancer cells, including HL-60 cells and mcf-7 cells. The combination of vatalanib succinate with other compounds, such as colony-stimulating factors or toll-like receptor antagonists, may have synergistic effects.
