OSS_128167 is an activator of AMPK, a protein that regulates the metabolism of glucose and fatty acids. It has been shown to increase the uptake of glucose and fatty acids into cells, which may be due to its ability to activate GLUT1. OSS_128167 also has antioxidant effects by increasing levels of ATP in cells. This compound has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and may be used for the treatment of metabolic disorders such as hepatitis and growth factor deficiencies. OSS_128167 has not been shown to regulate transcriptional regulation or histological analysis in studies thus far.
