Descripción:Apratastat is a drug that inhibits the production of TNF-α, one of the cytokines responsible for inflammation and tissue damage. Apratastat has been shown to be effective in reducing lung damage caused by exposure to smoke or ozone. It also reduces the inflammatory response in skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. This drug is administered orally and is excreted unchanged in urine. Apratastat has been shown to have biocompatible properties with a long half-life, which makes it suitable for specific treatment of conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
