Descripción:Phloridzin is a flavonoid glycoside, which is primarily sourced from apple trees and other members of the Rosaceae family. It is naturally found in the bark, roots, and other parts of the plant. The mode of action of phloridzin involves its function as an inhibitor of the sodium-glucose transporters (SGLT1 and SGLT2). By blocking these transporters, phloridzin prevents the reabsorption of glucose in the renal tubules, thus promoting the excretion of glucose through urine.
