Phosphatidyl 1-(D-2,3-dideoxy-myo-inositol) also inhibits the growth of certain bacteria through an ester hydrochloride treatment. This protein can cause apoptosis by binding to a response element on the promoter of target genes, which leads to changes in gene expression.
