Descripción:BQU57 is a synthetic compound that has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of c-Met receptor activity in vitro and in vivo. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells, including metastatic colorectal cancer and cervical cancer cells, by blocking the receptor for hepatocyte growth factor. BQU57 also inhibits HIV infection by binding to the CD4 receptor. The compound is not toxic to normal cells, which may be due to its ability to selectively target activated c-Met receptors found on cancerous cells.
