3,4,6-Tri-O-acetyl-2-deoxy-2-phthalimido-a-D-glucopyranosyl fluoride is a synthetic saccharide that has been modified with the Click chemistry. It is an acetylated derivative of 2,3,4,6-trihydroxybenzoic acid and was prepared by the fluorination of 3,4,6-trihydroxybenzoic acid followed by glycosylation with 4-(N-(1-(ethoxycarbonyl)ethyl)amino)-benzeneboronic acid. The product is a white to off white powder that is soluble in water and low solvents. The purity of this product is >98% as determined by HPLC analysis.
